It’s a simple tuna avocado salad when you are on the whole30 diet. It’s delicious and healthy lunch at home or on the go.
Of course, you don’t have to be on whole30 to make this delicious salad.
Recipe serving size 3-4 people
1 ripe avocado
2 cans of 3 oz or 1 can of 5 oz can of tuna in water or one 1 celery stalk
2 oz of Avocado mayonnaise ( I got mine store bought)
salt, pepper, and paprika
Step 1 ) Open the cans of tuna in water and drain the water out. I like to buy sustainable tuna in water if all possible. At into a mixing bowl.
Step2) Cut the avocados in half and take the pit out and scoop out the flesh into a mixing bowl. You can can keep the avocado skin as a bowl. Taking a fork to break up the Avocado and tuna and mix it together.
Step 3 ) Rinse and small dice the celery stalk and add it to the tuna and avocado mixture. Add some salt and pepper and mix it well then taste before adding some more salt and pepper.
Step 4 ) The last thing I do it add just a 1/2 tsp or less of paprika for flavor and color.
Step 5 ) Fill the tuna into the avocado skins like a bowl and eat it with a side of fruit!
It’s a meal that has protein, veggies, healthy fats and fruit which meats the whole30 diet.
