Whole30: Roasted sausage and cauliflower
These are the lazy days of cooking for lunch on a whole30 diet. I basically roasted these guys in a small oven. It is delicious yes, and whole30 compliant too! I bought the grass-fed beef sausage at Costco and there is no sugar added to these sausages great buy if I say so myself.
This will be the easiest dish to make on whole30 for a lunch or simple dinner. I don’t think you have to be a gourmet chef to do this diet, but you do have to want to cook a lot at home. Going out to eat is something pretty hard to do but not impossible.
Recipe serving size 3-4 people
Preheat the oven to roasting temperature of 425 degrees
1 head of cauliflower chopped into bite-size pieces then rinsed and dried.
2 pre-cooked grass-fed no sugar, nitrites or msg sausage
Extra Virgin olive oil or Virgin coconut oil
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder seasoning
Step 1 ) Using a sheet pan line it with a baking parchment or silpat. After you have washed, dried and cut up your cauliflower into bite-size pieces arrange it onto the sheet pan.
Step 2 ) Take out two sausage links and cut into small pieces it should be thicker cuts so it won’t burn too much on roasting method. Take the sausage and mix it together with the cauliflower.
Step 3 ) Season everything with oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and turmeric. Using tongs or your clean hands toss it together. Then place into a hot roasting oven of 425 degrees and let it roast for about 18-20 minutes.
